Boat and fishing lovers get their last looks at the annual expo that displays all their favorite things.
The 41st Boat Show and Fishing Expo wrapped up Sunday at the Indoor Sports Complex in Loves Park. Turnout for the event was pretty good this year, with an estimated 15,000 people who came through. Organizers say the event tries to bring in new things every year.
"It's never the same old because you have the debut of the brand new boats and the motors, even the fishing tackle and equipment, it's all new for each year," said Duane Nichols with Showtime Productions. "So they'll be able to come to the show and say 'hey, what's new for this coming year?'"
Nichols says tear down for the event should be finished by 9 a.m. on Monday.
