DEKALB (WREX)

One driver is dead and two passengers injured after their car slams into the back of truck.

It happened around 4 a.m. Sunday at the 600 block of West Lincoln Highway in DeKalb.  21-year-old Luis Felipe Hernandez-Palermos was found dead on the scene.

DeKalb police say Palermos was driving a sedan before it rear ended a semi truck and trailer. Two passengers inside the sedan were taken to the hospital. Police are not releasing their names yet.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
