ROCKFORD (WREX)
Occupy Rockford supporters educate people about what they feel is a growing problem in American politics.
The group held a public forum at the Rockford Public Library about SuperPACs. It's a term given to special interest groups who give financial support to political campaigns.
Members of the Occupy group say they want to overturn a recent supreme court ruling that allows the political funding. They feel SuperPACs have no place in America.
"We don't like them," said Occupy Rockford supporter David Soll. "They're dangerous, they're terrible, we need to get rid of them. They have no place in a democracy. The only place that a super pack should exist is in a dictatorship perhaps, or a fascist state."
Democratic and Republican politicians have spoken out against SuperPACs.
