ROCKFORD (WREX) - A candidate for Illinois Senate who was kicked off the ballot gets a second chance.
A Winnebago County Circuit Court ruled Glenn Patterson was unfairly rejected from the 34th District race.
Last month the Winnebago County Electoral Board decided he did not have 1,000 valid signatures. Patterson says he collected nearly 1,400.
The judge ordered the board to come back together to reconsider Patterson's petition. Patterson tells us that will happen next week on February 23rd and 24th. That leaves less than a month before the primary on March 20th.
Patterson's up against Steve Stadelman, Marla Wilson, and Dan Lewandowski in the Democratic primary.
