Winnebago County Animal Services offers spay/neuter vouchers

ROCKFORD, IL – Winnebago County Animal Services is offering 50 World Spay Day vouchers to Winnebago County residents who wish to spay or neuter their pet. These special vouchers are not based on income and will be available for $50 each through February 29, 2012 or while they last. The guidelines for this special promotion are:

• Limited one per household

• Must be a Winnebago County resident

• Cat or dog must be current on rabies vaccination and county registration

• Only 50 vouchers are available (once they run out, the offer is over)

• Vouchers must be used within the 30 days

Spaying and neutering helps dogs and cats live longer, healthier lives by reducing the chance of developing reproductive related diseases and cancers. It also may help reduce the need for your pet to spray or mark its territory or roam the neighborhood.

Spaying or neutering also plays a vital role helping to reduce the number of unwanted animals who enter shelters every year.

Spay Neuter and Win Prizes

ROCKFORD, IL – Show your cat or dog how much you love them by getting them spayed or neutered and Winnebago County Animal Services may reward you with cash or prizes.

Any Winnebago County resident who has their cat or dog spayed or neutered between February 1, 2012 and March 10, 2012 can bring their paid receipt from the veterinarian to Winnebago County Animal Services and be entered into a drawing. The guidelines for this special promotion are:

• The cat or dog must be spayed or neutered between February 1, 2012 and March 10, 2012

• The cat or dog must be current with a rabies vaccination and county tag

• The tag information and spay/neuter receipt must show matching owner information

• All information will be verified before the prizes are awarded

• Participants must be a Winnebago County resident and visit Winnebago County Animal Services in person to enter and qualify
