The players aren't the only stars on Super Bowl Sunday each year we remember the commercials long after the game is over.
Michael Nanfria stars alongside Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno in an Acura spot you will see Super Bowl Sunday. One of the Rockford College graduate's professors says he's not surprised to see Michael in such a high profile ad.
Rockford College professor of performing arts Jeff Hendry says he always thought Michael Nanfria would make acting a career.
"I just remember mike he was great to work with he was a lot of fun and he was just a really great guy and he was one of those you knew would probably have a career out there," said Hendry.
He's had a lot of success playing a particular type of character in commercials
"He's been getting a lot of jobs as the suburban dad type of image as a clean cut American type of guy," said Hendry.
Hendry says he's kept in touch with Michael since he graduated. Michael's even come back to help him teach classes and he knows how big this exposure is for his former student.
"Well obviously he's really excited this is about as big as it gets for somebody that does a lot of commercials," Hendry explained.
Hendry believes Nanfria's success inspires current students to fulfill their acting dreams.
"None of them were here when he was here, but the idea is sort of, there really is a career out there for graduates and they can continue to work and do what they want to do," Hendry said.
