Few things warm people up like a hot bowl of chili.
Plenty of meal was on hand in Monroe Center, Illinois as the local fire department hosted a chili cook-off.
13 Weather Authority Chief Meteorologist Eric Sorensen emceed the event. Committee members say it's growing larger every year.
Teams made around 6 to 8 gallons of chili for a panel of volunteers to judge. All the proceeds benefit a Monroe Center youth baseball league.
