ROCKFORD (WREX) -
A few growing pains come with being a first year teacher. At Spring Creek Elementary, there's one rookie teacher whose natural ability to work with kids has grabbed the attention of a veteran colleague.
Being a new teacher can be hard. Thoughts of your lessons going wrong, or your students not paying attention can be stressful. Those concerns do not affect Ms. Wroblewski, who teaches 4th grade bi-lingual at Spring Creek Elementary.
According to Tracy Murphy, a fellow teacher at Spring Creek, Ms. Wroblewski has a natural passion for working with children.
Murphy was sick when we went to honor Ms. Wroblewski, but in her inspiring letter to WREX she told us she is "amazed with the insight Ms.Wroblewski has already acquired. Her students admire her and she goes the extra mile for all her students. She is a glowing example of an outstanding teacher," said Murphy.
Ms. Wroblewski says "We do a lot of hands on activities, and actually...physical motion gets them really into what they're learning. If they can stand up and take part in what they are learning or doing an activity that is hands on. That really gets them motivated and focused on what they are doing."
