In connection with National Adoption Month, an informational meeting is held for parents considering bringing a child into their home.
The Children's Home + Aid Society held it's annual informational meeting at First Methodist church in Belvidere. Representatives met with potential parents and gave them information on domestic and international adoption.
Children's Home + Aid recently got a grant from the United Way, which will help expand its pregnancy and early parenting services. Over the last 13 years, the child and family care services has helped place more than 500 children in new homes.
