Republican Frank Gambino officially throws his name into the race for Illinois State Senate in the 34th District.
Gambino made the announcement at a news conference Tuesday evening at the Lombardi Club in Rockford. He says his common sense approach to business will help him fight to bring in new businesses and create jobs.
On the democratic side, former Winnebago County Democratic Chairman Dan Lewandowski has announced his plans to run in the 34th District. Two other democrats, Marla Wilson and Jim Hughes have said they plan to run.
Current 34th District Representative Dave Syverson will run in the newly-mapped 35th District.
