
ROCKFORD (WREX) - Two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen and 2002 PGA Championship winner Rich Beem have joined the field for the 35th annual Rockford PRO/AM.
The additions of Janzen and Beem bring the total number of pros for the event to 18. Rockford's Brad Benjamin will play as a "pro", but still maintains his amateur status.
Janzen won the U.S. Open in 1993 and 1998, both times besting the late Payne Stewart.
Beem held off a late charge by Tiger Woods in the 2002 PGA to win by one shot over the then number-one ranked player in the world.
