Two arrested in 2008 Rockford murder

ROCKFORD (WREX) - After nearly a year and a half, Rockford Police arrest two people for shooting and killing a man in his car.

Kevin Vega, 25, was shot dead while sitting in his vehicle on the night of November 29, 2008 at 1011 N. Central Avenue.

After a long investigation, police identified two men as suspects and arrested them on charges of first degree murder.

William Moore and Will Robinson Jr. were taken into custody. Moore was arrested outside of 1000 Irving after a tip was called in to Crimestoppers. Robinson Jr. was served a warrant at the Centrallia Correctional Institute where he was serving time for an unrelated charge.
