WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WREX) - The man accused of killing a Rockford couple inside their home has been brought back to Rockford.
Alexander Castillo, 26, was arrested in Janesville last week.
Castillo waived extradition during a court hearing in Rock County and was moved to the Winnebago County Jail where he's being held without bond. He had his first court apperance here on Thursday afternoon.
Castillo is charged with first degree murder in the shooting deaths of Michael Clark and Christa Clark inside their home at 2108 21st Street in Rockford around 2:00 a.m. on May 10.
Deputy Chief Greg Lindmark tells 13 News this was not a random shooting, but at this time there is no motive.
