ROCKFORD (WREX) - A 54-year-old man has been indicted by a Winnebago County grand jury for allegedly running away with a 13-year-old girl.

Donald Trotter, also known as Daniel Black, is charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and Child Abduction. The original case against him was for a charge of travel with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct.

According to the criminal complaint, officers found the girl with Trotter at an apartment in Long Beach, California. The girl went missing from Rockford on August 2 and was found August 6.

The girl told officers she was having a relationship with Trotter that included sexual activity prior to going to California and while they were in California.
