Rockford murder suspect pleads not guilty

ROCKFORD (WREX) - The man charged in the killing of another man earlier this summer pleads not guilty to first degree murder.

Jesse Herrera, 21, is accused in the killing of Kerry Davis, 24. Davis was found shot in the chest in an alley at 800 King Street and Evelyn Street.

Herrera's next court date is set for August 27.
