ROCKFORD (WREX) - The passenger of a motorcycle that crashed at Perryville and Guilford roads has died.

Margaret Dahl was thrown from the motorcycle driven by Ricky Tapp. She was being treated at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center since the accident late Friday. She died on Tuesday.

According to police, Tapp was riding with a group of motorcycles when a police car, with its lights and sirens on, was going through the intersection at Perryville and Guilford. Investigators say most of the motorcycles stopped, but Tapp kept going and hit one of the other motorcycles.

Tapp was also thrown from the bike. He suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive. Tapp is charged with driving under the influence.
