Two arrested in Freeport drug bust

FREEPORT (WREX) - Two people were arrested in Freeport on drug and weapons charges.

Authorities searched the home at 624 E. Crocker St. in Freeport after getting a report about cocaine sales going on there. Officers seized 367.2 grams of crack cocaine (13 ounces), 449 grams of cannabis (approximately 1 pound), a shotgun, five handguns, two machine guns, $5,561, thousands of rounds of ammunition, scales, narcotic packaging materials and four vehicles from the home.

Kenneth Williamson, 38, is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Rachel Simmons, 27, is charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.

Both are being held in the Stephenson County jail.
