ROCKFORD (WREX) - The local Better Business Bureau is warning people to watch out for job scams that sound too good to be true.
The BBB says it has seen a rise in work from home scams.
Rockford Better Business Bureau Director Dennis Horton says most of the ads you see online promising big paychecks are just ripoffs. "Anytime you do that or look to answer an ad online where it looks as though you can make money, a great deal of money with little or no experience or little or no work, call us first."
Horton also warns to stay away from any offer that requires you to pay money for the job.
