Washington, D.C. (WREX)-  Honest Abe gets a makeover.  The U.S. Mint is rolling out its new pennies.  It's the first redesign of the one-cent coin in 50 years.  The head side still has Abraham Lincoln, but the tail's is a different story.

There are four tail images and each one representing an era of Lincoln's life.  The first design goes into circulation February 12th; on Lincoln's 200th birthday.  The remaining pennies will be released in each calendar quarter throughout the year.

The tail images represent four major aspects of Abraham Lincoln's life: 1.His birth and early childhood in Kentucky, 2. His formative years in Indiana, 3. His professional life in Illinois, 4. His presidency in Washington, D.C.
