OREGON (WREX) - Ogle County starts its search for a new county administrator.
Friday was the last day to apply for the job. Now a private company will take over, Narrowing the 22 applicants down to about three or four. Then the county will interview them for the job.
A few months ago the county considered eliminating the position, but decided against it. Ogle County Board Vice Chair Lyle Hopkins says, "We need someone that's able to deal day to day with all the department heads and be a coordinator and be able to work things out and have everyone happy when its over with."
The county hopes to have a new administrator hired by April.
