ROCKFORD - A memorial service and benefit are planned for the Auburn High School student killed in a bizarre bus stop accident.
Jason Lammon, 16, got hit by a car while he was waiting for a school bus at the corner of Balsam Lane and Edelweiss Road near Sandy Hollow Golf Course.
Auburn High School has a memorial planned for Saturday, November 1. It will be open to the public.
It starts at 2:00 p.m. and will feature performances from some of his classmates.
There will also be a spaghetti dinner to raise money in Jason's honor at the Northwest Fire Department, N. Central Avenue. That will be Saturday, November 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The accident that killed Lammon is still under investigation.
