STEPHENSON COUNTY - Police have released the name of the man killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning.
Jeffrey Hammer, 49, of Shannon, Illinois was killed on Bolton Road at Hershey Road. Police say he was hit twice while walking along the roadway.
Police are looking for a emerald green GMC, possibly a late 90's Malibu or Oldsmobile Cutlass that would have right side damage and may be missing the right side passenger mirror. They believe that was the first vehicle to hit Hammer. They have no information on the second vehicle that hit him.
If you know anything about this case, call the Stephenson County Sheriff's Office at 815-235-8257.
