BLOOMINGTON - A study just released by State Farm Insurance shows many parents admit to bad habits behind the wheel.
The findings of the national survey show many parents are not practicing what they preach when it comes to safe driving.
65% of parents who took the survey admit to talking on their cell phone while driving. 94% of those parents say they tell their teens not to talk on a cell phone.
"We are asking parents to be aware that their teens are watching and learning from their behaviors," said Vice President of Strategic Resources for State Farm Laurette Stiles.
To help parents, State Farm has set up an interactive page on Facebook.com with tips and tools to help teach their kids how to be safe behind the wheel.
