File Photo - Rock RiverWINNEBAGO COUNTY - The Sheriff's Department has released the rules for boaters looking to get on the Rock River this holiday weekend.
A "NO WAKE" restriction will be in effect on the river south of the Whitman Street Bridge from 5:00 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday.
The boat ramp at the Riverview Ice House will be closed from Thursday - Sunday.
Fireworks - The river from south of the Chestnut Street Bridge to the Fordam Dam and from the Morgan Street Bridge north to the Fordam Dam will be closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday night for the fireworks shows.
Ski Broncs - Saturday and Sunday there will be restrictions on the river between the Jefferson Street Bridge and the State Street Bridge for a half-hour at Noon, 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. when the Ski Broncs are performing.
Golf Contest - Boaters are urged to use caution in the area just south of Beattie park where a floating green will be on the water for a hole-in-one golf contest that will be held all weekend.
