Ted BacinoDIXON (WREX) - Convicted cop killer Ted Bacino will have to wait another three years to try to get out of prison again.
The Illinois Prisoner Review Board voted to keep Bacino behind bars. He's currently serving a 75 to 100 year sentence in the murder of Winnebago County Sheriff's Detective Michael Mayborne during a bank robbery in Poplar Grove in 1974.
Bacino robbed the bank, abducted the bank president at gun point, but later released him and drove to the area of North Second Street in Loves Park where he fired the fatal shots that killed Detective Mayborne.
In the past Bacino has been up for parole every year, but now he must wait three more years to have his case heard again.
