ROCKFORD (WREX) - Rockford Memorial Hospital earns recognition from the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists.
CAP inspectors recently visited the hospital's lab. That inspection includes examining laboratory records and quality control over the last 2 years. Inspectors also look at staff qualifications, plus lab equipment, facilities, safety program, and overall management.
RMH is one of more than 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories in the world. The CAP program was started in the early 1960s.
