ROCKFORD (WREX) - Illinois Senator Bill Brady makes a campaign stop in Rockford just days after learning he's definitely on November's ballot for governor.
For more than a month, the Republican nomination was too close to call. It was just Friday when Brady finally got the spot, edging out Kirk Dillard by 193 votes.
He says one of his big goals is to make Illinois more competitive to attract jobs. "I want to reduce the tax and fee burden, making Illinois a destination place for business investment. When we do that, jobs will follow," said Brady.
Brady is up against Governor Pat Quinn in November's general election.
