UNDATED (WREX) - Jefferson and Freeport's seasons came to an end Wednesday night with both teams falling in their sectional semifinal contests.

The J-Hawks battled Bartlett until the final moments of the fourth quarter, before giving in to the Hawks, 58-54.

The Pretzels meanwhile couldn't solve DeKalb center Jordan Threloff, and watched as the center poured in 29 points. The Barbs won the game 60-46.

On Tuesday night, the Boylan Titans advanced to the sectional final with a two point win over Barrington, 54-52. They will meet Bartlett in Friday's sectional final.

The Winnebago Indians fell one game short of state, losing their first game of the season at a bad time. The Indians were upset by Peoria Manual in overtime, 63-52.

In Class 1A, Eastland is going to the state tournament in Peoria this weekend after knocking off Newark Tuesday night.
