BELOIT (WREX) - A man already being held in the Rock County Jail now faces homicide charges.
Henry Weston, 29, was arrested Friday in the homicide and attempted homicide investigation from an incident on June 28, 2009.
David DeAngelo Davis, 30, was found shot dead inside a car that crashed into a light pole at the corner of Woodward Avenue and White Avenue around 3:00 a.m. that morning. Anthony T. Gibson, 24, was also shot but survived.
An autopsy showed Davis died of a gunshot wound, not the crash.
Weston was already in jail on a probation violation.
The Rock County District Attorney's office says it charged Weston with First Degree Intentional Homicide (Use of Dangerous Weapons as a Repeat Offender), Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide (Use of Dangerous Weapons as a Repeat Offender), Aggravated Battery (Use of Dangerous Weapons by a Repeat Offender), and Possession of a Firearm by a Repeat Offender.
