ROCKFORD (WREX) - The City of Rockford's new rules for false medical calls goes into effect on Thursday.
A few weeks ago the city council amended the ordinance so false medical alarms are treated the same as current false burglar and fire alarms. The change came because of a rise in the number of false calls.
Everyone gets four false alarms of any type, then will be billed on a sliding scale starting at $100.
