ROCKFORD (WREX)- Hundreds of bright little students try to get in Rockford's gifted program.
District 205 held testing this morning for kids going into first grade next year. Almost 300 kids took the test at Washington Academy. At that young age it's not always easy. "The test takes about two and a half hours with all the breaks, giving the students an opportunity to take a few breaks. We're working with smaller children here in this particular setting," said D205 Gifted Education Director Yolanda Simmons
There's testing for older students in the next couple months. You can get more information from your child's school.
