ROCKFORD (WREX)- A ball on Saturday night raises money for hospital care. OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center hosted the Pink Ball. It's an annual celebration in honor of people fighting cancer. After 56, years that mission keeps getting stronger.
The proceeds go to the OSF Center for Cancer Care. "It will be going toward upgrades for patients and their families, to be able to provide better services to all of the patients that they serve," said Penny Lechtenberg, 2010 Pink Ball Chair.
There's no final count yet, but they expect to raise several hundred thousand dollars.
