GOP Candidate for Governor outlines plans for jobs

By Marissa Sherer

OREGON (WREX) - Bill Brady talks about how he'll bring more businesses and jobs to our area.

The Republican candidate for Governor made a stop in Ogle County today. Brady talked about three main issues: the budget, agriculture, and transportation.

Brady says he wants to fix roads and bridges, cut spending, and bring in jobs. If elected, he says he'll get rid of the estate tax and sales tax on gas and offer businesses incentives for job creation. "For every business that creates a new job, it brings $4,200 in revenue to the state every year.  I'm saying we'll give you back half of that the first year if you'll invest in Illinois jobs."

Adam Andrzejewski, Dan Proft, Andy McKenna, Bob Schillerstrom, Jim Ryan, and Kirk Dillard are also running for governor on the Republican side.
