File PhotoROCKFORD (WREX) - Students at nine Rockford schools got their H1N1 vaccines Tuesday.
District 205 Superintendent Dr. LaVonne Sheffield was among the first to get the vaccine at Carlson Elementary School Tuesday morning.
Only students who got permission from their parents were vaccinated at Carlson and eight other schools Tuesday.
The Winnebago County Health Department will be administering vaccinations at other schools in the coming days and weeks. All students that want the vaccine are expected to get it by December 9.
