The clinic is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heartland Church at Colonial Village. The flu shots are for people six months and older.
If you plan on going to the clinic you are asked to use the entrance near The Rockford Career College.
Back in mid-October the health department was forced to postpone its scheduled flu shot clinics because of a vaccine shortage.
The CDC recommends a yearly seasonal flu vaccine as the first and most important step in protecting against seasonal flu. An annual flu vaccination is especially important for people at high risk of serious flu complications, including young children, pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes heart or lung disease, and older adults.
The Winnebago County Health Department's fee for a flu shot is $30.00 while the pneumonia shot is $45.00.
