ROCKFORD (WREX) - Students at East High school were evacuated and extra officers were called to the school for crowd control.
Around 2:00 p.m., District 205 put out an alert saying classes were back in session after the building was evacuated because of a fire alarm pulled as a prank.
Rockford Police say the school did a fire drill and then when the students were heading back in someone pulled the alarm again and many students were running around outside. A student told 13 News at the scene that there was some fighting going on, but police say that is not true.
Extra police officers were called to the scene for crowd control.
