ROCKFORD (WREX) - The City of Rockford helps local businesses learn how to win contracts with government agencies.
The effort's a result from a survey sent out to businesses. Companies said they wanted help getting local contracts with cities, villages, counties, school districts, and other agencies.
Representatives from those agencies explained how the process works.
"The most important aspect that can come out of this is after the fact for us to be able to determine how many people go extra work as a result of this activity today," Reid Montgomery, City of Rockford Director of Community and Economic Development, said.
The City of Rockford hopes this becomes an annual event.
