MACHESNEY PARK (WREX) - A 27-year-old Machesney Park man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening.
The Winnebago County Sheriff's Department says Eric McClenthen was driving south on North Main Street when he lost control of his motorcycle, went off the road into a ditch and hit a tree. The crash happened at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Winnebago County Coroner's Office says McClenthen died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
An autopsy will be performed later today.
