ROCKFORD (WREX) - An open house gives the public a chance to see what the nCENTER has to offer.
Since its recent financial problems, workers at the nCENTER say there has been a lot of community support. Friday gave visitors a chance to check out the pool, gym, and other services.
"We served over 1,500 kids last month with the teen program," said Rockford Youth Initiative Executive Director Gerald Lott. "I know the swimming classes are going well. I've seen a lot of little kids here. Our birthday rentals are up. Memberships to the gym are up, so it's just growing like gangbusters."
Right now, Lott says the nCENTER's teen program is gearing up for the start of the school year. For more information on how to get involved, click here.
