ROCKFORD (WREX) - A credit union guard shoots at a robbery suspect after he allegedly pulled a gun on her.
It happened at Credit Union 1, at 4227 Maray Drive. Rockford Police say a man pointed a long-barreled handgun at the officer and told her to freeze. That's when they say she shot at him, but missed. Police say the man did not get away with money.
Officers are searching for a light-skinned black or hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s. He's 5'6 to 5'10 with a thin build and wearing a gray or green hooded sweatshirt with a black and gray bandana.
If you know anything, call Rockford Police at (815) 987-5824, or Crime Stoppers at (815) 963-7867.
