Carol McFeggen was murdered in her home on Monday.By Jeannie Hayes
ROCKFORD (WREX) - The homicide survivor's support group started by a woman murdered in Rockford Monday will continue.
Co-founder Barb Stone says she's afraid not to continue it after fellow co-founder Carol McFeggen was murdered in her home.
The group took a bit of a break when the Reverand Bill Kerr died earlier this year. He also helped run it.
Stone says they usually slow down in the summer, but plan to start meeting again in September.
Another concern, McFeggan did work with the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office to start the group. But Stone says there's no affiliation, so this won't be a conflict of interest when the murder case goes to trial.
