ROCKFORD (WREX) - Rockford Police are still looking for a man wanted for allegedly killing his wife.
On Monday morning the body of Carol McFeggan, 62, was found shot in the head in a bedroom of her home at 1820 Wedel Avenue.
McFeggan was a secretary at Auburn High School and the co-founder of a homicide survivor support group that fights for victims' rights.
Her husband, Tom McFeggan, 65, is wanted on charges of first degree murder. Police say he left his daughter a message directing her to the home where the victim's body was found.
Tom McFeggan is wanted on $1 million bond. Police say he's driving white two-door Chevy Cavalier with Illinois license plate 269-5502. If you know where he is, call Rockford Police at 815-987-5824 or CrimeStoppers at 815-963-7867.
Meanwhile, students and colleagues are gathering at Auburn High School Tuesday morning to support each other. School counselors and psychologists are at the school to assist those who need support.
