
UNDATED (WREX) - The beef recall over possible E.coli contamination has expanded.
JBS Swift Beef Co. of Greeley, Colorado voluntarily expanded its beef recall to include about 380,000 pounds of products.
Kroger, which owns Hilander stores in the Rockford area, says the recall affects meat sold in its stores. The items below are affected. They have sell-by dates of April 27, 2009 - June 1, 2009.

Kroger says none of these items are for sale in Kroger stores today.
The original recall involved about 41,000 pounds of products shipped to and sold in 13 states, including Illinois and Wisconsin.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Sunday that all the beef products were produced April 21 and are in boxes bearing "EST. 969," a package date of "042109" and a time stamp ranging from "0618" to "1130."
The USDA says an investigation by its Food Safety and Inspection Service of 24 illnesses in multiple states prompted the company to re-examine its food safety system. The department says 18 of the illnesses appear to have the same cause.
The beef was sold at stores in Illinois, Wisconsin and 11 other states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah.
