ROCKFORD (WREX) - Hilander donates money to the Northern Illinois Food Bank to help fight hunger in the Rockford area.
Hilander's food drive raised $5,671 for the food bank. The two-month drive, "Share Your Feast", helped raise money from Hilander associates and customers.
Kroger, Hilander's parent company, does the food drive every year during the months of November and December at all of its locations.
The check was presented to the Northern Illinois Food Bank Thursday during the store grand reopening celebration at 2206 Barnes Blvd. in Rockford.
