ROCKFORD (WREX) - The Chicago Rockford International Airport has now sold more than 9,000 tickets to this summer's AirFest.
The headliner of this year's show is the F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team.
"I am simply awestruck at the amount of tickets that have been sold in one week. This is nothing less than monumental in comparison to first week sales of previous AirFests," said Executive Director Bob O'Brien. "Given the state of the economy, the community response that we have received from this introductory price promotion has simply been phenomenal. Over 9,000 people from the region have staked their claim on this event, showing its importance as an annual community celebration."
The early discount ticket sale is over, but you can still get tickets to the show at the Main Terminal, the Airport Administration Building or online at www.flyrfd.com
Adult tickets cost $5.00 with a $2.00 convenience fee, child tickets cost $1.00 with a $0.50 convenience fee.
