WREX Closings and Delays Policy

WREX accepts closing and delay notifications from area schools, colleges, universities, preschools, daycares, hospitals, government agencies, churches, businesses and other organizations.

Our policy is to run every school-related closing or delay online as soon as they come in, but we do NOT run them on television until we have received five or more announcements. All business, organization and meeting closures will ONLY run online.

WREX asks that you submit all closing or delay notifications to our newsroom by filling out the online form below. Please DO NOT CALL THE NEWSROOM with your closures. Once you fill out the form below you will receive an e-mail confirmation letting you know we've received your closure information. The notification must be reviewed and then posted online by a WREX employee; it does not go on to our website automatically unless you have a pre-registered ID and Code from WREX. The pre-registered accounts are only available for schools, colleges and universities in our viewing area. If you are an administrator at a school that would like to have a pre-registered account set up, please e-mail the request to news@wrex.com
