Crews are working to make emergency repairs between Spring Creek Road and Berkshire. Right now the two northbound lanes in that area are closed. There is one lane open southbound from Berkshire to Spring Creek Road.
About 10 customers in the area lost water service at their homes due to the water main break.
It is not clear what caused the water main to break, but there is a lot of water loss and a lot of damage to the road. Crews are expected to be working on repairing the road starting Saturday with hopes of finishing by Monday.
In the meantime, detour signs are posted and you are urged to use an alternate route if possible.
