ROCKFORD - A couple hundred northern Illinois businesses set up shop at the first Regional Business Expo.
It was held at the Indoor Sports Center on Thursday. The event included representatives from small shops to big banks and factories. There were at least 200 vendors with hundreds of people coming from all over the area.
For Beth Randall's small non-profit pet sanctuary in German Valley it's well worth the drive. "It's vital that we network to get exposure and this event is perfect for that, for someone like us to get that kind of exposure," said Randall.
Nine chambers of commerce came together to form the expo. Rockford Chamber of Commerce CEO Einar Forsman says this expo was a big success and there are 60 other companies on the waiting list if another expo is held in the future.
