
BELOIT (WREX) - A former teacher and soccer coach at Beloit Memorial High School has been arrested for an alleged sexual incident with a student.
Christopher Kindschi, 32, is charged with sexual assault of child by school staff. The alleged incident involves Kindschi having inappropriate sexual contact with at least one student.
The investigation began last fall. Kindschi turned himself into police Monday morning with his attorney.
Kindschi was the coach of the Boys and Girls soccer teams at Beloit Memorial High School.
In 2009 he took over as women's soccer coach at Rockford College. According to the college, he resigned after one season for personal reasons.

Beloit (WI) - The School District in Beloit recently learned of possible allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct by a former staff member, Chris Kindschi.
Student health and safety are the foremost priorities of the district. Therefore, the district will cooperate fully with the Beloit Police Department and any other investigative agencies looking into this matter. Police officials notified the district that Mr. Kindschi was to be arrested.
Kindschi served as both a Girls and Boys Soccer Coach from the Spring of 1999 through the Spring of 2009, at Beloit Memorial High School. In addition to coaching soccer, Kindschi began teaching in the district in 2004. He took a career exploration leave of absence during the 2008-2009 school year, but maintained his coaching duties during that period. He later voluntarily resigned from the district to accept other employment in June of 2009.
