Winnebago's Huftalin picks Marquette University

WINNEBAGO (WREX) - Andy Huftalin is the latest Winnebago soccer play to make a college commitment.

Huftalin signed on to play soccer at Marquette University on Wednesday.

He tallied 84 points last season and helped the Indians to their first ever state soccer championship.

Now he'll pit himself against some of the top competition in the country in the Big East conference.

That level of play and Marquette's location less than two hours away in Milwaukee factored in to the All-American's decision.

"I want to continue playing soccer, and I think the Big East is a big opportunity to play in and it could help me reach my goal of reaching a professional league," Hufatlin said.
